Head of Research – 12 Month Maternity Cover | 📍London – Hybrid (2 days per week) | 💰Competitive Salary + Benefits

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Head of Research to join Moonpig on a 12 month maternity cover contract, working hybrid 2 days per week in the office. You will need to be available to join end of November - early December.

Research at Moonpig goes beyond understanding what customers think. We combine customer insight, behavioural data and commercial context to identify the problems that matter, uncover opportunities for growth and help the business make better decisions.

You’ll join an established Research function with a high performing team of three, and a clear strategy and roadmap already in place. This isn’t about starting from scratch. It’s about getting up to speed quickly, building strong relationships and keeping momentum behind the work that matters.

Over the 12 months, you’ll lead and develop the team, deliver our key research priorities, strengthen the Voice of the Customer and help more teams across Moonpig access and use quality research.

We’re looking for someone pragmatic, confident and focused on delivery. Someone who can turn customer understanding into action and make sure Research continues to have a meaningful impact on our customers and Moonpig’s growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own and deliver the Research roadmap against Moonpig’s highest-priority customer and business questions, making clear decisions about where Research can have the greatest impact.
  • Lead, coach and develop our Research team, creating clarity around priorities while maintaining engagement and quality.
  • Continue building the team’s capability in new methods, technology and AI.
  • Scale research capability across Moonpig, helping teams conduct appropriate research independently while maintaining a high bar for quality.
  • Develop training, coaching, tools, templates and clear standards that make quality research easier to access across the business.
  • Make customer insight more visible, accessible and influential, bringing customer evidence into strategic and day-to-day decisions.
  • Continue evolving how we capture and share what we know about our customers, including exploring how AI can make insight easier to access and apply.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Moonpig and confidently represent the customer in senior conversations.
  • Use customer evidence to identify opportunities, challenge assumptions and influence product, commercial and strategic decisions.
  • Turn complex customer evidence into clear, actionable recommendations that help teams move forward.

About you:

  • Significant experience in UX, Product, Customer or Consumer Research within a digital or product-led organisation.
  • Experience supporting, coaching or developing research teams, with a collaborative and supportive approach.
  • Strong track record of delivering research programmes and initiatives from idea through to implementation.
  • Broad understanding of qualitative and quantitative research, with good judgement about the right level of research for the decision at hand.
  • Ability to quickly understand an existing strategy and roadmap, identify what matters most and create momentum behind it.
  • Strong project delivery skills, with a pragmatic and outcome-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, including confidence working with senior leaders.
  • Strong customer focus and an ability to bring customer needs into business conversations and decisions.
  • Strong synthesis and storytelling skills, turning complex evidence into simple, useful recommendations.
  • Experience enabling and coaching non-researchers to conduct effective research while maintaining appropriate quality standards.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, making decisions and moving work forward.
  • Curiosity about AI and emerging research technology, particularly how they can help researchers and organisations learn faster.
  • A collaborative, approachable working style and the ability to build strong relationships across different teams.

Interview Process:

  • Stage 1 - Recruiter Screening Call (30 mins)

Engineer Engineering Manager at PayJunction

Engineering Manager leads a software engineering team building payment systems, ships production Java code, and sets technical direction while managing sprint ceremonies and delivery.

Lead Hybrid Posted about 11 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

We read every application. No AI screening. A real person reviews your materials.

Job Summary

PayJunction is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers from inside the code, still shipping production Java yourself, while setting technical direction, raising the quality bar, and making delivery predictable on a platform where a defect is a financial event.

Why PayJunction?

PayJunction is relentless and emphatic about helping others.  We exist to drive the success of our partners.  Specifically, the developers who connect to us, businesses who process payments through us, and all of our team members who work with us at PayJunction.

We believe dreams inspire people to start a business, and others to partner with them.  While building dreams, entrepreneurs and business professionals will face many challenges along the way. We believe great partners can make all the difference.

We are your dream partner.

Your success is our success.

Our dream is to help you realize yours.

We exist to drive the success of our partners.  We do this by fundamentally changing the way you transact with others.  We just happen to make great payment systems.  If you love helping others succeed, in a culture that celebrates perfecting your craft, consider partnering with us.

Location

PayJunction takes a Flex First approach to work environments. This means that our team members can choose to work from our Santa Barbara office or remotely from home. We ensure that everyone has the resources and equipment to work where they feel most productive. We trust our teams to make the best decision for their work environment. All PayJunction employees must reside in one of the following states: CA, IL, TX, MN, CO, GA, NY, MA, CT.

Mission

Our Engineering team’s mission is to design, develop, and maintain the products, technology, and systems that drive our partners’ success.

Vision

Thousands of partners love and rely on our platform to make payments simple.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own the team’s technical vision and roadmap, lead design reviews for major initiatives, and identify and mitigate the key technical risks in a payments platform.
  • Run the team’s Scrum ceremonies as the accountable leader, from planning and grooming through pointing and retros, protecting sprint scope from interrupt load so the team finishes what it commits to.
  • Partner with Product to scope, phase, and size initiatives before commitments are made, and negotiate scope when a request exceeds capacity rather than absorbing the overflow.
  • Set and enforce the definition of done for tests, review, and documentation, and personally perform substantive code reviews that hold junior and senior engineers to the same bar.
  • Use code review and 1:1s as teaching surfaces, build and work a development plan with every engineer, and grow people toward their next level.
  • Own the employee lifecycle for your team, from hiring and onboarding through reviews and coaching underperformers early, while building psychological safety without lowering the bar.
  • Stay in the code: ship production Java each sprint, author design docs for major initiatives, and review front-end changes in HTML, JavaScript, and Angular competently.
  • Own your team’s services in production, including monitoring, alerting, deployments, and incident response, and bake PCI DSS and security requirements into designs early rather than retrofitting them.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with hands-on ownership of production systems.
  • 3+ years at Senior Engineer level or above; you spent at least half of your most recent management role hands-on in the code and can still operate at that level.
  • 3+ years of engineering management, directly managing a team of 4 or more engineers, including hiring and performance reviews.
  • 5+ years of Java experience including web frameworks, with production Java written within the last 12 months.
  • 2+ years running Scrum ceremonies as Scrum Master or the accountable equivalent, not just participating in them.
  • Preferred: production Linux experience, ideally Ubuntu; payments or B2B SaaS industry experience; experience in a PCI DSS or comparably regulated engineering environment; a BS in Computer Science, or a sustained record of senior-level engineering work in its place.

At Benesch, we are looking for candidates with varied backgrounds and worldviews. We are committed to offering an inclusive work environment where everyone feels valued and respected. Marketing Pursuit Director

Benesch is seeking a Marketing Pursuit Director to lead our strategic approach to priority pursuits across markets and service lines. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on helping Benesch position for, pursue, and win our most important opportunities. The Director will partner closely with firm leaders, seller/doers, project leaders, and technical teams to develop differentiated pursuit strategies, strengthen client positioning, and turn market, client, and competitive intelligence into winning strategies.

The ideal candidate is a strategic pursuit leader who understands how to bring people together, ask the right questions, uncover what matters to the client, and translate that insight into compelling win strategies. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor and facilitator throughout the pursuit lifecycle, from pre-positioning and capture planning through proposal development, shortlist interviews, and lessons learned. This role offers the opportunity to influence major pursuits across the firm while helping elevate the strategic capabilities of Benesch’s marketing and business development teams.

Location

This position offers a hybrid work schedule with the flexibility to work from any Benesch office location. Fully remote arrangements may be considered for candidates who are not located near a Benesch office.

The Impact You Will Have

  • Lead strategic pursuit planning for priority opportunities across Benesch’s markets and service lines.
  • Facilitate pursuit strategy workshops, kickoff meetings, and strategic reviews to align teams around client priorities and pursuit objectives.
  • Develop and direct messaging strategies for major proposals, qualifications, interviews, and other client-facing opportunities.
  • Guide capture planning and pre-positioning activities in collaboration with project leaders, seller/doers, and technical teams.
  • Help pursuit teams identify client priorities, win themes, differentiators, competitive positioning, and value propositions.
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize client, competitor, market, and procurement intelligence to inform pursuit strategies and decisions.
  • Translate client and competitive intelligence into actionable strategies throughout the pursuit lifecycle.
  • Partner with leadership and business development teams to align pursuit strategies with client needs, market trends, and Benesch’s growth objectives.
  • Coach technical staff, project leaders, and marketing teams on persuasive communication, storytelling, presentation strategy, and client-focused messaging.
  • Partner with proposal managers and coordinators across the company to elevate strategic content, proposal quality, and overall pursuit effectiveness.
  • Lead interview strategy development and presentation coaching for shortlisted pursuits.
  • Establish and advance best practices for pursuit planning, messaging development, strategic reviews, and pursuit execution.
  • Lead Benesch’s Good, Better, Best proposal quality program and conduct proposal quality audits to ensure high-quality, differentiated deliverables.
  • Ensure proposal narratives clearly communicate client understanding, value, qualifications, differentiators, and why Benesch is the right partner.
  • Analyze pursuit outcomes, including wins and losses, to identify trends, lessons learned, and opportunities to improve future pursuits.
  • Lead and develop market research and grant writing capabilities, identifying opportunities to strengthen these functions across the firm.
  • Conduct marketing and pursuit strategy workshops and training for technical staff, project leaders, and marketing professionals.
  • Share institutional knowledge, market intelligence, and pursuit insights across the firm to strengthen overall pursuit readiness.
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve strategic targeting, opportunity evaluation, and pursuit selection.
  • Mentor and develop marketing professionals, helping build strategic thinking, pursuit leadership, and client-focused communication skills.
  • Contribute to broader marketing and business development planning initiatives that support Benesch’s growth and market position.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field required.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in professional services marketing, pursuit management, business development, proposal strategy, or a related field, preferably within the AEC industry.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, high-value pursuits from strategy and pre-positioning through proposal development and interview.
  • Strong understanding of capture planning, pursuit strategy, proposal development, client positioning, and competitive intelligence.
  • Proven ability to develop differentiated win strategies, messaging, and interview strategies that respond directly to client priorities.

Engineer Senior iOS Engineer at Zƫm

Lead front-end technical direction and architecture decisions while mentoring a distributed team and shipping features for enterprise mobility platforms.

Lead Hybrid Posted 6 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

About Zƫm:

ZĆ«m is revolutionizing mass mobility with its Connected Mobility Experience (ZĆ«m CMXℱ) system that connects and coordinates people, vehicles, and operations in real time. In the $50 billion student mobility market – the largest segment of the mass mobility industry.

ZĆ«m CMX is transforming a daily source of anxiety and disruption into a reliable, transparent, and efficient mobility experience for students and families. Today, more than 6,500 schools rely on ZĆ«m CMX. Recognized globally for its innovative approach and operational execution, ZĆ«m has been named to Fast Company’s World’s Most Innovative Companies, CNBC Disruptor 50 and Changemakers, the World Economic Forum, and the Financial Times’ Fastest Growing Companies lists. ZĆ«m is backed by leading investors including Sequoia Capital, GIC, TPG, and Softbank.

About the Position

This role is based at the Company’s headquarters in Redwood Shores, CA and requires you to be onsite 3x/week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday). We will only consider candidates already based in the Bay Area.

Who You Are:

We’re hiring our first HQ-based web development engineer, a Staff Front End Engineer who will lead front end technical direction for ZĆ«m while staying hands-on as an individual contributor. This role operates as a technical lead; you’ll set technical direction, make front end architecture decisions, and lead a team of engineers in Ukraine, while still writing code and shipping features yourself.

You’ll own the front end behind our dispatch, school, vendor, and maps portals — enterprise, data-dense tools that districts, transportation vendors, and internal operations teams rely on to run complex logistics.

You’ll work from HQ, in close collaboration with our local Product and Engineering teams. The Ukraine Front End team’s hours overlap with HQ until roughly 11am PT, so this role doesn’t require working offshore hours.

We’re looking for an engineer who leads through the work itself, not just the title. Someone who can absorb a tech lead role and immediately make the team better, while staying comfortable that product direction, at least for now, comes primarily from our PM and backend teams. This isn’t a fit for someone who wants full front end product ownership from day one. It’s a fit for someone who finds real satisfaction in technical craft, mentorship, and making a distributed team sharper, and who’s excited to bring AI tooling into how we build.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own front end technical decisions and architecture across our Angular codebase, including patterns for state management and reactive UI (RxJS)
  • Lead the Ukraine-based front end team technically: set direction, unblock hard problems, and raise the bar on craft, while still writing production code
  • Work within an existing structure where PMs and backend teams drive most product and design direction, and Front End owns execution and technical quality
  • Partner closely with PMs (who work in Figma with design) and backend engineering to turn direction into shipped, reliable front end systems
  • Push the team’s use of AI tooling forward, spotting where we’re moving too slowly and driving the automation that changes that
  • Bring technical leadership to infrastructure-level front end work, not only user-facing feature delivery
  • Absorb the tech lead function currently split across two people and consolidate front end technical decision-making under one clear owner
  • Set architectural standards for how our Angular apps handle state, data density, and reactive patterns across dispatch, school, vendor, and maps portals
  • Identify where AI tooling could meaningfully speed up front end development and build the case (and the tooling) to get there
  • Mentor and technically lead engineers on the Ukraine-based team, working within overlapping HQ hours rather than offshore shifts
  • Build trust with PMs and backend leads so that front end execution stays fast and clean even as product direction comes from elsewhere

What You Bring To Zƫm:

  • Senior+ or Staff-level front end engineering experience, with a track record of technical leadership, not just individual contribution
  • Strong, hands-on experience with Angular; you should be able to step into our stack and start contributing quickly
  • Experience with reactive UI patterns and RxJS or equivalent observables-based architecture
  • Comfort building and owning enterprise, data-dense web applications, not consumer products or analytics dashboards
  • Experience technically leading or mentoring other engineers, ideally across a distributed team
  • Genuine interest in AI-driven automation, with real opinions on where a team could move faster
  • Experience stepping into or consolidating a tech lead function previously shared across multiple people (preferred)
  • Startup background (preferred; a plus, though not a strict requirement)
  • Experience with mobile web, not native mobile, not React Native (preferred)

Bonus Points:

  • Domain experience in mobility, logistics, fleet, or other operationally complex enterprise software
  • Experience with mapping or GPS-adjacent UI, relevant to our maps portal surface
  • Experience collaborating closely with design in Figma-based workflows

The targeted base salary range for this role is listed in the compensation section below. Actual salary may be above or below this range based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. In addition, this position may include additional compensation in the form of equity or commissions. If you are a full-time salaried or hourly worker, we offer the following benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Holidays, Wellness, Vacation, and more. The targeted pay range for this role in CA, USA is: $210,000 - $240,000 plus stock options.

Zƫm Services, Inc. and all its subsidiaries provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
