Chief of Staff serves as force multiplier for CEO by managing operating cadence, strategic initiatives, OKRs/KPIs, and high-stakes projects for a behavioral health company.
Sixty million adults experience mental health challenges in the United States, yet one-third lack access to proper care. Opioid overdose is the number one cause of death for people under 50 in the United States.
We are a clinician-led, tech-enabled provider group that exists to provide culturally competent behavioral health care addiction care, medication management, crisis intervention, and care coordination for people working towards taking back control of their lives, while expanding access to care.
Our vision at ReKlame Health is to create a future where individuals who have historically been unable to access the care they deserve can readily obtain high-quality behavioral health and addiction care.
At ReKlame Health, it goes beyond mere employment; it’s about becoming a part of a formidable movement transcending individuality. Let’s unite and forge a world where health equity and effortless access to exceptional mental healthcare can co-exist.
ABOUT THE CAREER OPPORTUNITY
As Chief of Staff, you will serve as a force multiplier for the CEO, reducing operational friction, driving strategic initiatives, and expanding executive bandwidth to focus on the highest-leverage problems in the business. This means identifying complex, high-stakes issues before they’re fully defined, shaping them into clear decisions, and seeing them through to completion whether that involves building the framework, running the analysis, or owning work that hasn’t yet found a home.
This is not a role for someone who steps away once the presentation is finished. It demands the judgment to know when to delegate, when to escalate, and when the fastest path forward is simply to execute it yourself.
The seat beside the founder and CEO of a fast-scaling, multi-state behavioral health company where strategy either becomes execution, or it doesn’t.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
Operating cadence. Design and run the company’s meeting and planning system, including the weekly leadership meeting, monthly business review, and quarterly planning. Set the agenda, drive decisions to a conclusion, capture owners and deadlines, and chase them until they’re closed.
Goals and metrics. Build and maintain the company’s OKR and KPI infrastructure. Define the small number of metrics that matter (patient access and wait times, clinician utilization and capacity, retention, collections, growth), ensure they are reported reliably, and surface variance early rather than at quarter-end.
Follow-through on behalf of the CEO. Track every open commitment across the leadership team. Escalate what is stuck, unblock what you can yourself, and make sure nothing important dies quietly.
Decision support. Turn messy questions into decision-ready analysis — memos, models, options with trade-offs and a recommendation. Examples: should we enter a fourth state; what does our clinician hiring plan need to look like to hit next year’s growth; what is at risk?
Leadership communication. Prepare board materials, investor updates, and internal all-hands content. Own the narrative quality and the accuracy of the numbers behind it.
Special projects. Take on whatever is currently the biggest constraint on growth — a payer contracting push, a clinician onboarding redesign, a new partnership, a systems migration — and run it end-to-end until it can be handed off to a permanent owner.
CEO leverage. Protect the CEO’s time and attention. Prioritize ruthlessly, prepare him for what matters, represent him where appropriate, and give him honest counsel in private.
WHAT YOU BRING
7+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, or private equity; operations experience in high-growth health care startups; or a prior chief of staff role. (experience in health care is required)
A demonstrated record of owning cross-functional work end-to-end not just analyzing or advising, but shipping and owning if you have to.
Strong analytical and financial fluency. You are comfortable building a model, interrogating a dashboard, and distinguishing a real signal from noise.
Exceptional written communication. You can condense a complicated situation into a single page that an executive leader or a board member can act on.
The judgment and presence to hold senior people accountable or influence people without formal authority, and the discretion to handle sensitive information about people, finances, and strategy.
Genuine comfort with ambiguity. You are energized rather than stalled by a problem nobody has scoped yet.
Alignment with our mission. You care about equitable access to mental health and addiction care, and you can work credibly with clinicians and operators.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
First 30 days. You understand the business, the care model, the unit economics, the clinician pipeline, and the constraints. You have met the leadership team and formed a candid view of where execution is breaking down.
First 90 days. The operating cadence is running: agendas are set, decisions are logged, commitments are tracked, and metrics are reported on a reliable schedule. The CEO has stopped being the sole source of follow-up. You can demonstrate that you have reduced the CEO cognitive overload.
First year. The leadership team hits its quarterly goals with fewer surprises. Two or three significant initiatives have shipped under your ownership. Executive communication is consistently sharp. The CEO’s time has visibly shifted toward the work only he can do.
COMPENSATION & GROWTH
Salary: 150,00 to 170,000
Upside: Performance-based bonus + equity, e.g., stock options
Location: Hybrid, 4 days per week in the office
BENEFITS & PERKS
We invest in our team’s health, security, and growth:
Health: Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
Financial & well-being. 401(k) with company matching, Short-Term Disability, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Health Savings Account (HSA), and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through Spring Health.
Time off: 21 days of PTO plus 8 company holidays.

Manages communications projects end-to-end, coordinating with internal teams and external agencies to deliver design, digital, and content work on tight policy-driven timelines.
The Future of Life Institute (FLI) is hiring a Special Projects Manager for the Communications Team. The Communications Team produces a high volume of design and digital work — websites, campaign microsites, event identities, reports and assets — for a global audience, often on fast timelines tied to policy moments. We work with a retained external studio that delivers design and development from briefs, supported by a small in-house team. You will be the person who makes that model work - driving diverse projects from initial scoping all the way to completion.
The Special Projects Manager will report directly to the Director of Communications.
FLI educates and engages lawmakers, key stakeholders, and the general public about transformative technologies and their implications. We advocate for policies and approaches that mitigate catastrophic risks while advancing positive futures for humanity.
Develop briefs: translate stakeholder requirements into clear, actionable creative and technical briefs, and push back constructively when asks are unclear, conflicting or unscoped.
Oversee project performance and progress: work with internal and external stakeholders to define what success looks like for each project, integrate those goals into design and content strategies, and develop/execute comms projects that reflect them.
Identify, onboard and manage agencies and contractors: i dentify the skill gaps required to make a project shine, then source and steer talent to fill those gaps through web development agencies or individual freelancers.
Own quality assurance: define what “done” looks like — reviewing deliverables against brief, brand guidelines and accessibility standards (WCAG), running structured review rounds, and holding the final quality bar before anything ships.
Product innovation: ideate and develop digital products to help achieve FLI’s mission and meet org objectives.
Run special projects: deliver multi-month initiatives such as international creative contests end to end.
Steward brand coherence: work with the website development agency to maintain our design system and keep high-volume output visually consistent.
Based in a timezone between West Coast, USA and the UK (UTC-8 to UTC+1).
Proven ability to coordinate complex, multi-stakeholder projects — comfortable navigating competing priorities, securing alignment from senior colleagues, and turning messy input into clear direction.
A track record of building or significantly improving delivery processes — intake, review, QA or approval workflows — not just operating within them.
Project management experience across design, communications and/or digital/web projects, ideally including managing external agencies.
Genuine interest in FLI’s mission and the issues we work on — able to represent our work credibly to agencies, judges, contest entrants and partners.
Sharp quality instincts and the confidence to send things back when they’re not right (ideally provable with a portfolio of shipped work you’ve quality-assured).
Calm under deadline pressure; comfortable saying no and offering alternatives.
Experience running participatory or multi-stakeholder projects — contests, awards, grant rounds, festivals or similar.
Familiarity with website delivery: CMS platforms and enough technical literacy to triage issues and talk credibly with developers.
Working knowledge of SEO and digital audience growth: technical and on-page fundamentals, analytics tools (e.g. GA4, Search Console), and how content and campaign decisions affect reach.
Nonprofit, policy, advocacy or campaign experience.
$100,000 - $190,000 a year
Exact compensation will vary depending on experience and geography.
For US hires, additional benefits include: health insurance, 24+ days of PTO per year, paid parental leave, 401k matching in the US, a work from home allowance for the purchase of office supplies or equipment, and a professional development budget.
Exact benefits will depend on location.
Application Deadline: 2nd October 2026
Start Date: We’d like the chosen candidate to start as soon as possible after accepting an offer.
Application Process: Apply by uploading your resume, a portfolio of design products you have quality assured (if available), alongside a short answer to the following question(s):
In 200 words or less, please describe the digital or communications project you are most proud of working on. What was the project and how were your contributions critical to its success.
In 200 words or less, outline why are you interested in working at FLI in particular
Please apply via our website. Email applications are not accepted.
FLI aims to be an inclusive organization. We proactively seek job applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds. We would appreciate the opportunity to consider your application.
Questions may be directed to [email protected].
Founded in 2014, FLI is an independent non-profit working to steer transformative technology towards benefiting life and away from extreme large-scale risks. Our work includes grantmaking, educational outreach, and policy engagement.
Our work has been featured widely, including in The Washington Post, Politico, Vox, Forbes, The Guardian, the BBC, The Economist and Wired.
Some of our achievements include:
FLI is a largely virtual organization, with a team of approximately 40 distributed internationally, mostly in Europe and the US. We have four offices: Campbell in California, Brussels in Belgium, London in the UK, and Washington DC. We meet in person as a full team twice a year.
Owns QA strategy, release processes, and testing infrastructure for a mobile app, managing quality gates and leading release decisions end-to-end.
We prioritize learning and teamwork and love giving people the opportunity to champion solutions to big challenges and grow into better versions of themselves. A great candidate believes in Raya’s vision, which is to enrich lives by fostering relationships through quality, in person interactions. You thrive at the intersection of quality and shipping, and you’re excited to build the release systems, quality gates, and testing strategy that let Raya ship a consumer app our members trust every time.
Quality Strategy: Own the QA strategy across automated and manual testing, deciding what we automate, what we test by hand, and what we accept as risk, with regression coverage on critical paths like onboarding, payments, subscriptions, messaging, and login, including where third-party testing services and AI-assisted QA tooling fit in.
Visibility and Communication: Maintain the release calendar and Quality scorecards including report crash rates, defect escape rates, and release health to leadership
Continuous Improvement: Run release retros, turn incidents and escaped defects into durable process fixes, and connect release decisions to the incident response process
Release Ownership: Run the release process end-to-end for the Raya iOS app from predictable release trains with clear cut, freeze, and submission dates through App Store submission, phased rollout, and rollback/fix forward
Go/No-Go Process: Define release readiness criteria, lead go/no-go decision making
6+ years in software quality, release management, or engineering, with 3+ years managing people
Deep knowledge of the App Store release lifecycle: TestFlight, phased release, expedited review, and rejection handling
Experience with subscription and payment flows on iOS
Experience building test automation strategy for mobile, including real-device testing, feature flags, and progressive rollouts
Experience deciding the split between automated and manual testing, and managing third-party QA or crowdtesting vendors
Fluency with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, and strong knowledge of Git branching strategies for mobile release workflows
Clear, direct written communication
Systems Builder: You build process and automation, so release quality depends on systems rather than memory
Impact-driven: You focus regression and automation coverage on the paths that matter most to members, rather than chasing full coverage everywhere
Ownership mentality: You take escaped defects from discovery to root cause to prevention
Bridge Builder: You partner with engineering managers, product, and leadership, embedding quality into everyday workflows while balancing team velocity
Bias toward shipping and iteration: You improve the release process incrementally in short cycles rather than waiting for a perfect system

2+ years of experience managing high-performing engineering teams.

Production experience with Apple StoreKit payments and subscriptions, and production experience with Stripe payments and subscriptions for a B2C product.
Experience serving within and administering an operational excellence program: production readiness, observability, on call.
Proven ability to lead projects from concept through launch, balancing speed and quality, and to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners to deliver business impact.

An AI-forward mindset, with curiosity about applying emerging technologies to improve developer and product experiences.

Beyond delivering premier high-touch moments, we turn leadership insights into actionable intelligence that directly informs Stripe’s narratives, product, and go-to-market direction.
We are looking for an Executive Experiences Program Manager to drive end-to-end operational excellence for our most high-profile leadership programs. This involves leading global operations for Tier-1 flagship moments like Davos, our Exec Summit at Sessions, the launch of new Executive Briefing Centers, as well as managing broader operations and budget allocation across the team. This high-visibility role sits at the intersection of product marketing, executive engagement, strategic hospitality, and B2B pipeline development. You will build and scale a world-class execution engine that delivers flawless, high-touch experiences for executive audiences. This requires someone who can move fluidly between strategic planning and hands-on execution and can zoom in and out based on the task at hand.
A sharp, organized problem-solver who is a self-starter. You bring structure, clarity, and simplicity to complex problems and focus teams with competing priorities into aligned goals and plans. You are equally comfortable presenting to C-suite executives as you are clearing tactical operational roadblocks. You design systems, tools, and AI-first workflows to structure and automate programs and processes. You don’t think 1 step ahead, you think 10 steps ahead; you lead teams to structure phased milestones to achieve the intended end vision. You proactively anticipate risk and account for dependencies in plans to ensure we are planful and prepared for every foreseeable execution need in high-stakes environments.
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
