Applicants must be USA Citizens and graduating seniors of Charlotte County Florida High Schools, or previous winners of a Punta Gorda Garden Club Scholarship. Home schooled students of Charlotte County are eligible to apply. Requirements include a B or better grade average, proof of financial need, and a desire to major in one of the following fields of study: Agronomy, Botany, Conservation, Ecology, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Floriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Plant Pathology, Marine Biology, and related fields.
